When powerful AI meets usable UX
Relu helps dental labs scale production through AI-powered automation. Complex dental design and planning workflows that normally take hours? Automated. But having powerful technology under the hood doesn't mean much if the interface requires a PhD to navigate.
The challenge
The application was functional - the AI worked, the automation delivered. But the user interface and experience needed work to better support dental labs. Think of it like repairing something that's already there but could be so much better.
Dental technicians are craftspeople, not software engineers. If the UX doesn't click, even the smartest AI becomes frustrating to use.
Our approach
We ran an intensive two-week design sprint with the Relu team. The kind where you're in the room together, sketching on whiteboards, testing with users, questioning assumptions.
We reimagined the product's workflow and usability from scratch. Every flow got challenged, every click got justified. The goal? Make the powerful tech actually deliver on its promise.
The outcome
The result is a fresh, intuitive UI and more seamless UX, all brought together in a clickable Figma prototype. It's now ready for development in Vue, setting up Relu Cloud to help dental labs automate and optimize their processes even further.
